JRA Southern New Jersey began on January 15, 2012 when we delivered food to 55 families! We depend upon the help of dedicated volunteers and the financial support of individuals, foundations, and businesses to fight food insecurity in our community. Here are some ways YOU can get involved:
Volunteer at a food distribution:
-Fulfill your community service requirements for school or work.
-Bring a group of friends to a distribution.
-Join colleagues from your workplace for a day of Community Giving.
-Celebrate a family simcha — birthday, anniversary, graduation — with a day of service at JRA.
Out of the Box:
-Have connections in the food industry? Contact us to discuss donations or discounts on products.
-Organize a canned tuna drive for your school, synagogue, scout troop, or other organization.
-Host a hunger awareness program at your organization.
-Plan a service learning field trip to JRA from your school.
Please take a few minutes to browse our website and get to know us. We hope you’ll contact us if you’d like to learn more, if you need help, or if you’d like to give help.
