Project Management Specialist

If so, then we hope you’ll consider joining our team at Jewish Relief Agency (JRA) in the important new role of Project Management Specialist, based at our office in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania and our food distribution center in Northeast Philadelphia. 

As Project Management Specialist you will:

Provide project management support across the organization, including our client services, volunteer engagement, technological innovation, administrative, operations and communications activities.
Help develop, implement, track and evaluate all components of our “service gigs,” including arranging for transportation services, and coordinating the scheduling and fulfillment of home improvement services.
Support the development, launch, and management of new digital resources including mobile web applications, websites, databases and other technologies
Support activities focused on expanding our volunteer community and enhancing volunteer experiences.
Help prepare for and participate in all monthly food distributions.
Compile, analyze and report on distribution, volunteer, and client metrics.
Help build and sustain relationships with partners and community organizations.
Work collaboratively and effectively with other members of the JRA professional staff as well as with volunteers, committees and Board members on other initiatives and duties as needed. 

Knowledge of the Philadelphia community and Jewish traditions are helpful but not required.  PMP certification is helpful but not required. We find strength in and celebrate diversity, and are an equal opportunity employer.

About JRA:

JRA is a vibrant volunteer-centric non-profit organization focused on alleviating hunger, building community, and helping the most vulnerable individuals and families in the Philadelphia region, including frail seniors, persons with disabilities, individuals with chronic illnesses, immigrants, refugees, non-English language speakers, and people facing temporary financial emergencies.

Each month we bring together approximately 700 to 1,000+ volunteers at our warehouse to pack and then deliver boxes of nourishing food to 3,200+ households, comprising 6,000+ recipients. In addition to enabling our core food program, our network of 10,000+ volunteers also help with “service gigs,” such as driving seniors to doctors’ appointments and the grocery store, making small but needed home repairs, and building connections with our clients through friendly visits. We deliver our services to recipients and welcome volunteers from all backgrounds.
