Since our founding in 2000, our team of committed, intelligent and experienced professionals and lay leaders has developed some of the most dynamic community engagement and social service programs in the Philadelphia region and, in fact, the country.
JRA has been bringing families and individuals together each month in a spirit of community and repairing the world. Through the efforts of JRA’s community of more than 10,000 volunteers, we are providing monthly food relief packages to over 3,200 low-income families throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. JRA is seeking our next Executive Director (ED), who will be a creative and energetic motivator of stakeholders, will collaborate with the Board on setting vision and strategy and will lead the professional staff in executing the agency’s operating and growth plans. The ED will capitalize on JRA’s position as one of the Philadelphia region’s well-respected nonprofits and its unique platform of direct-service delivery and volunteer engagement to expand its impact, operations, and financial base.
The ED will be accountable for the agency’s growth and impact across current and future
initiatives while ensuring the agency maintains its caring and participant-centered culture. The new ED will have a broad array of organizational leadership skills, including the ability to lead team members to ensure their maximum productivity and satisfaction; ensure programmatic excellence, and oversee the organization’s financial stability and growth. The position reports to the Board of Directors.

JRA is seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to perform the critical role of creating and managing marketing and communications functions in support of existing and new agency programs and services.
We’re seeking someone special with a combined skill set of traditional and digital marketing, writer, brand strategy, graphic designer, and creative direction. It is a hands-on role. The ideal candidate will join a team possessing a mindset of doing “whatever-it-takes” to get a job done.
