Emergency Food - Response to Covid-19

If you are an individual or family in need of emergency food take a look at the City of Philadelphia's interactive map of sites providing free meals. Find free meals for students while schools are closed. 


WhyHunger refers people in need across the U.S. to food pantries, soup kitchens, government nutrition programs and grassroots organizations. 


Aunt Bertha's network connects people seeking help and verified social care providers that serve them. Aunt Bertha easily connects people to social services in their communities. 


SNAP Counselors will continue to do SNAP applications by phone (Hotline: 215-430-0556).

JRA services are delivered monthly via a no-contact drop-off. If you are in an emergency situation, please call us at 610-660-0190. We also encourage you to utilize the services outlined in the "Emergency Food - Response to Covid-19" section below and explore the additional resources located on this page.


JRA services include:


  • A monthly supplemental box of kosher pantry staples and fresh produce (from September through April) delivered directly to your door by one of our friendly volunteers. (Knock, Drop and Go). 
  • A supplemental bag of kid-friendly items for families with children ages 18 and under. 
  • Donated household items, toiletries, kids' apparel (through a partnership with Cradles to Crayons) diapers and adult incontinence supplies (through a partnership with The Greater Philadelphia Diaper Bank).


To be eligible for JRA’s services, you must:

  1. Have a household income within 150% of the Federal Poverty Level.
  2. Live within one of the zip codes that JRA services (located at the bottom of this page).
