20 years ago, JRA was born with the conviction that no member of the Philadelphia Jewish community should be hungry. First a handful, and then hundreds, and then thousands of people banded together to do "Whatever It Takes" to make sure that the elderly and underserved members of our community should have the food supplies they need and deserve.
For 20 years, JRA has continued to do “Whatever It Takes” to respond to the growing level of need. With the onset of the Covid-19 virus this year, demand increased and pantries shuttered across the city, and still JRA committed to doing "Whatever It Takes" to maintain operations and be there for thousands of struggling families.
Throughout the past 15 years, Daniel Erlbaum has chaired the organization with the can-do ethic of persistence and tenacity that has enabled JRA to continue to do its vital work in the face of today's unique challenges.
Join us for "Today with JRA", to celebrate "Whatever It Takes" and the phenomenal leadership of our outgoing Board Chair, and to be inspired by the stories of generosity, perseverance, and innovation that have made JRA a model of hunger relief and community involvement throughout the past two decades.
